A summer day in October
Friday, October 8, 2010 at 10:22AM It's going to be 85 degrees today...in South Dakota...in October. October people!! What happened to my cool hoodie weather, my pumpkin bread weather, my curl up under a blanket and enjoy the brisk breeze through the window weather?
So, my plan of getting pumpkins last weekend didn't happen. I really want to try and decorate them in some fun and funky way. Maybe like these?

I've been reading, trying to catch up on a pile of books from the library. It seems all my holds come in at once and they are all 14 day reads. I just finished The Island by Elin Hilderbrand and Fly Away Home by Jennifer Weiner. Weirdly, both books are so similar that I'm having trouble differentiating them in my mind. A woman in her 50's estranged from her husband runs away to a family vacation home and her two grown daughters (both who have issues of some sort) come to join her. That's pretty much the plot of both books! LOL!
I picked up a new CD on iTunes. Bruno Mars Doo-Wops and Hooligans. There are a couple of feel good, bop along in the car, kind of songs. The Lazy Song and Count on Me both make me smile.
Lastly, I have a new collab in the store with Jacque Larsen. She approached me with this cute idea and I was thrilled to work with her on it. I think it turned out so cute! It's 20% off this weekend.
Ok, I'm off! the kids have a four day weekend so this is my last day by myself to play until Wednesday. Lots to do!
